PUB SIGN SLIDE SHOW A-E

All of the pub and inn signs shown in this website were painted by Nicholas Robertson, mostly at the Whitbread Artists Department and Brewery Artists Studio Cheltenham between 1971 and 1988. Other artists over this period included John Cook, Mike Hawkes, Bob Symonds, Steve Forster, Tim Turton, Rob Rowlands, Beth Jenkins and signwriter Graham Watkins. The artists were expected to produce one and a half pictorial signs per week when not designing colourway pub signage.

All other signage was contracted out to signwriting companies.
